What Are You Doing To Capture The Online Attention of Potential Patients?

In these days of continually decreasing reimbursements and ever increasing expenses, physicians leave little if any room in the budget for marketing.

However, did you know that there are 70,000 online searches for health-related information every minute in the United States.

That's 4.2 million per hour.

And over 100 million per day!

And you still don't want to "invest" in marketing your practice?

Do you understand what a gold mine that online audience is?

We live in what is known as the "attention" economy.

Those businesses who best attract the attention of audiences online are the businesses that are thriving.

What are you doing in your practice to attract their attention?

Social media posts about your group's doctor's birthdays aren't attracting them.

Posts about your practice's in-office awards aren't either.

It's not that you shouldn't post such information, but if that is your "social media marketing" strategy, you are wasting your time.

You need to post what patients want.

They want testimonials from real patients of yours detailing what their health problems were before and how much your treatment has helped them.

They want to know how you can help their health issues.

They want to know new research results that may impact their treatment options.

They want to know new technology you are using.

They want to know new techniques you are using and why, as well as the results you are achieving with the new techniques.

You need to think about what you would want to know if you were in your patient's situation.

That's what you need to post.

And you also need to be generating two separate email lists.

One list of your existing patients.

And a second list of prospective patients.

And you need to email each list separately on a regular schedule with information tailored specifically to their respective needs.

Email is important because marketing with it is free!

But the money spent on "effective marketing" is truly an investment that will provide a great ROI for you and your practice.

The goal of this marketing is to grow your practice by acquiring new patients and to retain as many of your existing patients as possible.

The audience you want to reach is readily available.

You just need to capture their attention.

In these days of decreasing reimbursements and ever-increasing expenses, you really can't afford not to be investing in marketing!
